#Jodhaa akbar all episodes movie#
love story was tiredome for me atleast I can’t watch these movie again compare to lagaan. ghajini was 3 hr movie lagaan more thn 3.5)I mean movie didn’t had enough battle scene, high end dialogue sequence that will be remembered for those who have seen hollywood action & greatly etched sequences. moreso on above point I mean the story needed much better budget really expensive TIGHTER narration( eg. firstly I thnk he shud have made a movie abt akbar rather than the love story(ok I know m going against the basis of his scrip). The movie moreso was chapterwise instead of one single piece.which I feel u need wen u r making a story of lead characters. Well m speaking about movie overall with this scenes as I had seen thm back to back on utv movies…ja is the best example in my diary of filmaker gone lost in half heartedness moviemaking But yes it is harder to then think about the film ignoring that footage. Then there was Henry James who pretty much ‘edited’ everything for his NY edition! I think if it’s a good director I prefer seeing the deleted footage. There is an analogy though with all those 19th century novels that initially appeared serially but were then altered sometimes for the book version. In any case the technology offers the chance to ‘rewrite’ the film which has its merits and demerits. Sometimes it’s useful to figure out how a director was thinking about a film of course. Because one gets to see the rough cut footage and then one cannot quite get this out of one’s mind.

Of course in the US on the other hand it’s become a scam! Only a handful of re-releases justify that label (even if I’m addicted to the idea!). I think that when they bring out these 3 disc sets and so on they could easily do this. Unlike the US I don’t believe there’s a demand for director’s cut re-releases. I think that a director’s cut can from a market perspective be done right when the DVD is released.
